You won't find a streak counter anywhere in this app, and you never will. That's a deliberate choice, not an oversight.

Streaks are great at one thing: rewarding people for never missing. They work when 'never missing' is realistic. When your body varies — when some weeks just take more than you have to give — a streak stops being motivating and starts being a stick.

The trouble is what happens the day you inevitably miss. A streak turns that ordinary, unavoidable day into a loss. The number resets, and a lot of people quietly quit right there, because what's the point now.

We didn't want to build a thing that punishes you for being human in a body that has hard days. So there's nothing to break, which means a missed day can't take anything from you.

What we keep instead is a gentler kind of count: the times you showed up. Not the gaps between them — the moments themselves. Add those up however they land, in whatever order, and they still count.

A streak says 'don't you dare miss.' We'd rather say: come back whenever you can, and we'll be glad you did.
